RADIOLARIA

The Radiolaria stool (designed and built as a study assignment in 2003) on natural strut structures found in bones, plants or in microscopic maritime life forms the radiolarians.

These tiny animals make the strongest, most economical use of chalk to build their skeleton.

This efficiency is also very beautiful and inspired me to built a super strong and lightweight stool from 5mm thick multiplex which can easily carry a human.
